The Branch

A Light on the High Street!

The branch is simply our church on the high street!

We rented a shop in April 2019 with a vision of serving the needs of Fordingbridge town and surrounding villages through events and programmes that meet practical & emotional needs of the community.

From Game on! (board games & cuppa), Community Café (social café with homemade cake & coffee) to our post natal group Litle Buds there is something on every day that we are open.

We can also support & refer to the local foodbank.

We are open:
Tuesday: 10-4pm
Wednesday 10-4pm
Friday 11-2pm
Please note we will be closed 15th August – 3rd September for summer break

Little Buds

Little Buds is a community for parents to have a place they can be welcomed and feel safe and be supported by our Qualified post natal facilitator. So please pop into to one of our groups and join us for a hot drink and a snack, meet other parents and Alice will be able to help support any questions you might have about infant feeding.

Our free post natal sessions offer a space and confidential place for all Mums, Dads or Carers to come along with their child and gain some extra support on anything that may have concerns about. This group is for any baby who is not yet on the move!

Youth Bus

Our Youth team have taken a single decker bus that we own to our local recreation grounds ‘Potterne Park, Verwood’ consistently for the past 7 year. We provide food and activities throughout the year allowing the youth of the town a safe, warm and consistent contact point outside of their school & home lives

Our aim is to facilitate practical touch points in youth lives so that they feel connected and looked after and have fun!

Our long-term vision is to upgrade to a new bus but we are currently working on securing immediate funds for necessary repairs and the food we serve each week to the youth. For now you will spot us out a purple bus!

Younger 4 Longer

Younger 4 Longer is a community based exercise programme for older people and people with long term health conditions.

The programme provides safe, simple and effective evidence based exercise sessions which facilitate ample opportunities to also meet social and spiritual needs through a range of fun and exciting activities and events.

We also run an afternoon and harvest lunch during the year for this awesome group of people.

All Younger 4 Longer exercise sessions are based on the Younger 4 Longer programme that was set up and led by Diane Priest, Registered Nurse / Specialist Exercise Instructor. The community based open classes include:

  • Exercise to Music Sessions
  • Circuit Training Sessions
  • Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation Sessions
  • British Lung Foundation Maintenance Exercise Sessions
  • Chair Based / Falls Prevention Sessions
